Motherhood is amazing. But motherhood is also hard. Very very hard. And there is nothing wrong with admitting that being a mom is not as easy as you thought. Yes, some babies may be easier and some may be harder. Raising any child is probably one of the toughest and most rewarding jobs ever. From pregnancy (and feeling tired, nauseous, and uncomfortable), to actual mortifying labor, to postpartum (including healing, breast feeding/bottle feeding challenges, vaccine appointments, sleepless nights and true exhaustion) to sitting in the bathroom crying and wondering when life will be normal again – motherhood certainly has its ups and downs. Surely seeing your baby sleep in your arms, smiling at you, or babbling makes your heart explode and you just realize that life was never worth living before you held this little miracle in your hands. Being a new mom, I experienced so many emotions and had so many questions. However there is no one right answer. Motherhood is a journey and it’s best to not go through it all alone. With this blog I hope to offer some companionship, support, and inspiration to fellow moms and just remind you that you are not alone in this.
